Renaissance revival coffret

Steel, brass, and silver-plated copper. A rectangular coffret with a truncated hinged lid sits atop four button feet. The sides and lid comprise copper plates that have been cast, enchased, and silver-gilt with grotesques of vases, acanthae, and flowers; each field is framed by bands of cast, enchased ornamental brass.
